Statement of Group Project Report

Group 3: Linnea Long, Laura Melton, Matt Nichols, Robin Rousu, and Katy Shaw

As we work together on the group project, each group member will take on the following role:

Laura

web deity (upload reports and final project to web space and notify Stuart via e-mail)

Linnea

legal resource (give extra help and legal advice to group members)

Katy

secretary (keep minutes of each meeting and send to group members)

Matt

reader (provide extra help to group members by reading over sections - especially the "ethics" section which has only one person working on it)

Robin

overseer of the final version (proofread and edit final version of group project)

We have agreed that our group will share a common grade based on our aggregate work.

Since the majority of our group members are obsessive about planning in advance, we have established the following initial timeline:

Week 3 (4/13 - 4/19):

Research area of specialty (copyright/ethics/liability)

Week 4 (4/20 - 4/26):

Research area of specialty (copyright/ethics/liability)

Week 5 (4/27 - 5/3):

Begin writing section for rough draft

Week 6 (5/4 - 5/10):

Rough draft due Wed. May 7

Week 7 (5/11 - 5/17):

Revise rough draft (write introduction & conclusion)

Week 8 (5/18 - 5/24):

Revise/produce final draft. Due: Sunday 5/25 by midnight

Our next group meeting will be after class next Wednesday (April 16) from 3:20 to 4:00 pm. Group members working together in an area of specialty (Matt and Robin on copyright and Katy and Linnea on liability) will arrange to meet separately to discuss their sections. Members of the ethics and liability groups agreed to take a sneak peek at Stuart's powerpoint slides for those sections so we can get an idea of what to start working on.
